For Prospective PhD Students

Pursuing PhD is rigorous and one needs a lot of patience
A good research study needs an ample amount of time, facilities, and freedom
Sincere, genuine and hard work is very much expected from the students
Our lab is always looking for highly motivated students to join our research activities
Opportunities are limited. Typically, one position per year
Part time PhD is not encouraged in our research activities

Institute Support for Ph.D. Study

Eligibility: Masters's Degree in Civil-Structural Engineering
Applications will be invited by the institute and one should apply for a Ph.D. study
Upon successful admission process, the candidate will be an institute research scholar and the monthly stipend will be given from the institute MoE fund
Upon admission, our Ph.D. scholars are expected to find a novel research problem and submit a project proposal for possible finding to the external agencies
A Ph.D. degree may be awarded upon successful completion of study objectives with 2 high-quality technical papers in journal publications

Project Support for Ph.D. Study

Eligibility: Masters's Degree in Civil-Structural Engineering with research experience & GATE Score
Applications will be invited by us and the institute and one should apply for a research fellow position.
Upon successful interview process, the candidate will be a project research fellow and the monthly stipend will be given from the project fund
Joining our project as a research fellow does not give a Ph.D. position at NIT-Py, directly
However, research fellows who are joining/working our my projects will be strongly encouraged to pursue their Ph.D. after completing institute admission procedures.
Ph.D. degree may be awarded upon successful completion of project objectives with 2 high-quality technical papers in journal publications
